Brexit on agenda as historian returns to Newark
David Starkey
Britain’s Role In Europe
Historian David Starkey makes a timely return to the Palace Theatre, Newark, on Sunday, March 5, at 2.30pm when he will examine Britain’s Role In Europe.

The talk will cover some controversial subject areas that are more relevant than ever in the ongoing Brexit debate.

David Starkey will examine whether Britain is simply an island or an inextricable part of the continent.

His argument will range from Henry VII, who invented the idea of Englishness, to the grand tourist, who introduced European culture to Britain, and finally the Brexit campaign.

Tickets are £18.50 and are available from the box office at Newark Palace Theatre.
