Duo Gary Fletcher and Tom Leary perform at the Old Ship Inn, Lowdham, on Wednesday, January 18, in the latest gig for Warthog Promotions.

The pair play an eclectic selection of acoustic material, including contemporary original songs, classic tunes and variations on traditional pieces.

The partnership gives Fletcher the chance to merge into the blues his passion for folk.

It combines the guitar, banjo, uke, mandolin and vocal of Fletcher with the violin, mandolin and slide guitar of Leary.

Fletcher is a member of, among others, The Blues Band while Leary is a key member of Feast Of Fiddles and now a regular part of the Lindisfarne line-up.

Tickets for the Fletcher and Leary gig, which starts at 8pm, cost £10.

The Searchers played a sold-out gig at Lowdham Village Hall last week for Warthog Productions.

Also sold-out is a performance by Andy Fairweather Low at the village hall on February 3.

The guitarist has played with artsist such as Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Jimi Hendrix.

Fairweather Low will perform with his band — Dave Bronze on bass and vocals, Paul Beavis on drums and Nick Pentelow on saxophone and clarinet.

The following week, on February 10, there is a performance by the Southern Tenant Folk Union at the village hall.

The Edinburgh-based string band have performed numerous live dates and festivals as well on BBC1 on The Andrew Marr Show.

They will perform a range of new roots and folk material as well as tracks from their extensive back catalogue.

The music returns to the Old Ship Inn on February 22 for the visit of Ben Glover.

The singer-songwriter was born in Ireland but relocated to Nashville in the US to further his singing career.

His 2014 solo album, Atlantic, has been followed by his new release, The Emigrant, which combines his Irish and US influences.
