Mixed medleys from 1940s
Monday 14th April, 2014 - Moorfield Court, Southwell
A group of singers performed a mixed programme at Moorfield Court, Southwell, on Monday.

The Songbirds, based in Newark, entertained with songs from shows and a war-time medley to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the first world war.

The singers are led by soprano Wendy Pease and accompanied by pianist Maureen Fairburn.

The group of eight will perform a selection of 1940s music at various locations around the Newark area during the rest of the year.

Their next concert is in June.
