Strictly stars set to waltz in for Nottingham date
Strictly Come Dancing
Those appearing in the Strictly Come Dancing live show, at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, include, from left, Danny Mac, Ed Balls, Louise Redknapp and Ore Oduba.
The hit BBC television show Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year, but its stars are still dancing. They are heading out on a national tour.

It comes to the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham, on January 31 and February 1 as part of a 30-date tour.

It is the tenth anniversary of the live tour and features many of the star names from the latest series — including its unlikely hit, politician Ed Balls.

All three 2016 series finalists will also be taking to the dance-floor in Nottingham.

Winner Ore Oduba will dance with Karen Clifton, Louise Redknapp with Kevin Clifton and Danny Mac with Oti Mabuse.

Louise Rednapp, who impressed with her Argentine tango, said: “I really can’t wait to dance my way around the UK.

“I loved every minute of Strictly, so continuing my journey into 2017 is going to be a brilliant way to kick off the New Year.”

Danny Mac, who regularly earned tens from the judges in the series, said: “What an amazing opportunity to perform in front of the huge arena audiences all over the country. I’ve heard how amazing the live tour is and I can’t wait to get out there.”

Ore Oduba said: “Taking part in Strictly has surpassed my wildest dreams. So much so it’s difficult to imagine life without it.

“The live tour means I don’t have to wake up from this Strictly dream. I can’t wait to travel the country with my friends and meet the fantastic audience that made our whole experience possible.”

The finalists are joined by Daisy Lowe, who will dance with Aljaž Skorjanec, and Lesley Joseph, partnered with Gorka Marquez.

As on the hit show, the pairings will be judged by Len Goodman — fresh from his final appearance on the show — Craig Revel Horwood, who also directs the live dates, and Karen Hardy.

The show will be presented by Countryfile host Anita Rani, who is no stranger to Strictly, having been a contestant in 2015 when she reached the semi-final with Gleb Savchenko.

Completing the line-up for group numbers and professional dances are six of this series’ professional dancers — Giovanni Pernice and Janette Manrara, AJ Pritchard and Chloe Hewitt, Oksana Platero and Neil Jones.
