Whodunnit begins new play season
Monday 4th February, 2013 - Lincoln Theatre Royal
The new season of plays at the Lincoln Theatre Royal begins with A Murder Is Announced, a gripping Agatha Christie whodunnit.

The villagers of Chipping Cleghorn are agog with curiosity over an advertisement in the local gazette telling them a murder will take place on Friday, October 29 at Little Paddocks at 6.30pm.

A childish practical joke or a hoax intended to scare poor Letitia Blacklock?

Unable to resist the mysterious invitation, a crowd begins to gather in Little Paddocks at the appointed time when, without warning, the lights go out.

What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns and the inimitable Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution in a dramatic confrontation scene just before the final curtain.

The production features an all-star cast, comprising Dean Gaffney from EastEnders, Gemma Bissix from Hollyoaks, Katy Manning from Dr Who, John D. Collins from ‘Allo, ‘Allo, and Geraldine Newman from Ever Decreasing Circles.

Presented by Ian Dickens Productions, it is on from Monday to a week on Saturday at 7.30pm.
