Two fire crews from Newark were called to the A616 at 10.07pm yesterday
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A616 at Caunton.
Officers were called to reports of a serious collision involving a car, van and lorry between Mill Lane and Manor Road at around 10pm yesterday.

A 64-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious.

A 25-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were also taken to hospital and treated for injuries not thought to be serious.

The road remained closed until 8.30am today (Friday) while inquiries took place.

Two fire crews from Newark were called to the incident.

Firefighters cut two people free from the wreckage using cutting gear and two people were released before firefighters arrived.

Investigators would be interested in speaking to the driver of a lorry which is understood to have sustained minor damage in relation to the collision but may not have been aware of this at the time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which may assist should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 947 of February 16.
