All lines between Newark Northgate station (pictured) and Retford are blocked after a man died when he was hit by a train.

A man died after being hit by a train at Tuxford West junction.
Officers from British Transport Police were called at 8.39am.

The ambulance service also attended but the man was declared dead at the scene.

The incident is not believed to be suspicious and police are now contacting next of kin.

The line has now re-opened, but disruption is likely to continue until 5pm.
