Youngsters mad about science

Children made slime, watched water evaporate and saw smoke explode out of a bottle during a special science lesson as part of British Science Week.

All Saints’ Anglican/Methodist Primary School, Elston, was visited by Mad Science, a company that provides creative, interactive and educational science sessions.

Pupils were encouraged to carry out investigations and made rockets, which they launched.

Mr Jon Powell, science leader at the school, said pupils enjoyed smoke and loud bangs made by the experiments.
