NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (GONALSTON FOOTPATH NO.6) DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2018

On 16th July 2018 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the High-ways Act 1980.The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public right of way commencing from a point, SK 6765 4709 the remains of Gonalston Footpath No.6 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 78 metres in a west-north-westerly direction to a point SK 6758 4712, to a line running from a point SK 6765 4709 the remains of Gonalston Footpath No.6 and proceeding initially in a south-south-westerly direction for approximately 5 metres, then continuing in a west-north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 74 metres, before heading in a north-westerly direction for approximately 5 metres to a point, SK 6758 4712 as shown on the Order Map.The Order also provides for the consequential amendment of the Nottingham-shire Definitive map and Statement.A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below be-tween the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive and at the offices of Newark and Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark, Notts, NG24 1BY and at Lowdham Library, Main Street, Lowdham, Nottingham NG14 7BE during their respective normal opening hours until 13th September 2018. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy.This Order comes into force on 16th July 2018 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amend-ed, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 2nd August 2018, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.DATED 2ND AUGUST 2018 The Countryside Access Team Nottinghamshire County Council County Hall West Bridgford Nottingham NG2 7QP
