NOTICE OF MAKING OF RAIL
CROSSING EXTINGUISHMENT AND
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 118A
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT
1981
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY
COUNCIL (NEWARK FOOTPATH
NO.11)
RAIL CROSSING EXTINGUISHMENT
AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER 2018)
The above Order, made on 24th May
2018, under Section 118A of the Highways
Act 1980 (as amended by the
Transport and Works Act 1992), and
Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside
Act 1981 will extinguish the public
right of way running from a point, SK
8017 5510, at the junction with Newark
Bridleway No.5 and Newark Bridleway
No.6 on the east side of the concrete
bridge over the River Trent and proceeding
for a distance of 225 metres in a generally
east-south-easterly direction over
Hatchets Lane/Whitehouse Lane Level
Crossing to a point, SK 8038 5503, midway
along Hatchets Lane, as shown on
the displayed Map.
It will also provide for the required consequential
amendment of the Nottinghamshire
Definitive Map and statement.
A copy of the Order, Order Map and
Statement of Reasons may be seen free
of charge at my Office at the address below
between the hours of 9.00 am and
4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays and at the
office of Newark and Sherwood District
Council, Castle House, Great North
Road, Newark, NG24 1BY and at Newark
Public Library, Beaumond Gardens,
Balderton Gate, Newark, NG24 1UW
during their respective normal opening
hours until 12th July 2018. Copies of the
Order and Map may be purchased from
my Office at the address below at a cost
of £5 per copy.
Any representations about or objections
to the Order must be received by
the Countryside Access Team at the address
given below not later than 13th July
2018. Please state the grounds on which
they are made.
If no such representations or objections
are duly made, or if any so made are
withdrawn, the Nottinghamshire County
Council may themselves confirm the
Order as an unopposed Order. If the
Order is submitted to the Secretary of
State for the Environment for confirmation
any representations and objections
which have not been withdrawn will be
sent with it.
