The Nottinghamshire County Council (Bowbridge Road and Earp Avenue, Newark on Trent) (Prohibition of Waiting, Entrance Clearways and Residents’ Controlled Zone) Traffic Regulation Order 2018 (3269)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire
County Council HAS MADE an Order under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act
2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking
Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order
2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will
be to roads in Newark on Trent in the District of Newark and
Sherwood:-
1. to prohibit waiting at any time at the following
locations,
(i) BOWBRIDGE ROAD (NEWARK ON TRENT) (the east
side)
from a point 10 metres south of its junction with Earp
Avenue in a northerly direction to a point 10
metres north of the same junction.
(ii) EARP AVENUE (NEWARK ON TRENT) (both sides)
from its junction with Bowbridge Road in a north-easterly
direction for a distance of 10 metres.
2. Dual use Parking Bays – All vehicles – Monday to Friday,
8am – 4.30pm – 2 hour parking with no return within
1 hour and Resident Permit Holders at the following
locations
(i) EARP AVENUE (NEWARK ON TRENT) (the north side)
from a point 3 metres west of its junction with Hatton
Gardens in a westerly direction for 21 metres.
(ii) EARP AVENUE (the north-west side)
from a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with
Bowbridge Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance
28 metres.
(iii) EARP AVENUE (the south-east side)
from a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with
Bowbridge Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance
of 87 metres.
3. Residents Permit Only Parking Bay (Monday to Friday,
8am – 4.30pm) on the following road
EARP AVENUE (the north-west side)
(i) from a point 38 metres north-east of its junction with
Bowbridge Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance
of 13 metres
(ii) from a point 58 metres north-east of its junction with
Bowbridge Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance
of 46 metres.
4. School Keep Clear Markings – No Stopping Monday –
Friday 8 am – 4.30 pm
EARP AVENUE (the south side)
(i) from a point 25 metres west of a point opposite the western
kerb line of Hatton Gardens in an easterly direction for a
distance of 46 metres.
(ii) from a point 10 metres west of a point opposite the western
kerb line of Winchilsea Avenue in a westerly direction for a
distance of 43 metres

(b) Newark Library, Beaumond Gardens, Baldertongate,
Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 1UW
The new double yellow lines are intended to keep the junction
clear of parked vehicles. The residents permit parking only
bays are located outside the residential properties to give the
residents the opportunity to park during the day. The dual use
parking bays are intended to remove all-day parking whilst still
giving space for permit holders and short stay parkers (for up
to 2 hours). Waiting on Monday to Friday between 8.30am and
4.30pm will be prohibited across some of the driveways on
Earp Avenue between Bowbridge Rd and Hatton Gardens. The
school keep clear markings already exist on site, this Order is
to correct anomalies in the existing legal Order.
