Edith Quayle

A FORMER farmer, who retired in 1998, has died at the age of 87. Mrs Edith Quayle, of Rufford Forest Farm, Farnsfield, died in King?s Mill Hospital on January 11 A funeral service, taken by the Rev Peter Greaves, took place at St Swithin?s Church, Kirklington, on January 22, followed by burial at Farnsfield. The undertaker was George Rhodes. Mrs Quayle, who had lived in the area for 50 years, was born in Warrington. She was educated in Warrington and Oxford. Married to Mr Jack Quayle, the couple had a son, Tom, and two grandchildren, Anthony and Georgia. Mrs Quayle loved knitting, gardening and ballroom dancing, winning lots of trophies. The direct family mourners were Mr Jack Quayle, Mr Tom and Mrs Kathy King, Mr Anthony King and Miss Georgia King. Other mourners were Mr and Mrs J. Sheedy, Mr and Mrs A. Sheedy, Mrs B. DARE Alan and family would like to thank all who attended Edith's funeral service at St Peter's Church, Farndon and those who sent messages and cards of condolence.
